“It’s been an amazing nearly decade-long run. I am really proud of what this team and I have built over the last decade,” Todd said.
“When I took over ‘Meet the Press,’ it was a Sunday show that had a lot of people questioning whether it still could have a place in the modern media space. Well, I think we’ve answered that question and then some.”
Today we close our show with an announcement from @chucktodd:

Todd has been hosting the program for the last decade, he shared during his announcement.
"While today is not my final show, this will be my final summer here at Meet the Press. ... I am really proud of what this team and I have built over the last decade," he stated.
Chuck Todd will depart NBC's 'Meet the Press' after nine years hosting the show.

Kristen Welker, NBC News’ co-chief White House correspondent, will succeed him, according to NBC News. She has been with the network for some time, including a well-known hosting of a 2020 presidential debate with President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
The change is one of many recent updates on the network and across news media in recent weeks. The news comes after two major changes at competitor Fox News.
Following a settlement between the network and Dominion Voting Systems, Fox News host Dan Bongino left, as well as Tucker Carlson, the network's top-rated host.
The news did not provide an explanation for his departure though some have speculated that the change could be due to changing ratings.
The newest update will allow a fresh face to host the program as Americans see whether the program will change or stay with its current style of media broadcasting.
