Nancy Pelosi says she doesn't intend to watch her husband's attack video

Paul Pelosi was attacked at their San Francisco, California, home, according to a body camera video that was released on Friday.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told reporters that she would not be reviewing the video, according to a report by Breitbart News.

“I’m not going to say anything right now, I may shortly,” she prefaced. “I have not heard the 911 call. I have not heard the confession.”

“I have not seen the breakin and I have absolutely no intention of seeing the deadly assault on my husband’s life,” she added.

The San Francisco Superior Court on Friday made the attack's body camera video public. According to Breitbart News, Judge Stephen M. Murphy ordered the release of the video, saying there was no justification for keeping it a secret from the public. Previously, the video was employed during court proceedings.

In the video, the assailant, David DePape, reportedly assaulted Paul Pelosi, and seconds later, a police officer cuffed the attacker while shouting, “Give me your **** hand!” Breitbart News recounted from the video’s footage:

According to their report, the Pelosi residence's door is seen opening in the body camera footage, and an attacker—named David DePape by authorities—as well as Pelosi—who appears to be wearing only a shirt and her underwear—stand in the doorway.

The victim appears to be holding a drink in his left hand and both men appear to be engaged in a struggle with one hand on a hammer.

The attacker places his left hand on Pelosi's right forearm while still keeping his right hand on the hammer as the officers start speaking to the men. The perpetrator is then told to "drop" the hammer as an officer shines a flashlight on it.

Before snatching the hammer out of Pelosi's right hand and swinging it ferociously in the direction of the 82-year-old, the perpetrator appears to say, "Nope."

The two then flee from the doorway, and the officers rush inside to confront the suspect right away.

In December DePape plead not guilty to multiple charges, including “attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, residential burglary, false imprisonment, and threatening the life or serious bodily harm to a public official,” KABC reported.

Paul Pelosi was hurt and underwent surgery for a fractured skull, despite Nancy Pelosi allegedly being the target of the attack.

The former House Speaker attributed her decision not to run for office again partially to the attack on her family home.
