Musk drops unemployment abuse allegations

We all know our entitlement programs are abused, and there is clearly money going down the drain.

This is something DOGE has been focused on, and with Musk’s time running out, he just dropped a massive announcement in regard to the fraud that took place during the last administration.

Fraud Problems

Labor Department Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer teased the discovery by DOGE last week.

She stated, “This is another incredible discovery by the DOGE team, finding nearly $400 million in fraudulent unemployment payments.

“The Labor Department is committed to recovering Americans’ stolen tax dollars. We will catch these thieves and keep working to root out egregious fraud.”

DOGE also discovered that the Biden administration was not properly vetting many of the migrants it was allowing to enter the country, but that is a discussion for another time.

Nearly $400 Million in Fraudulent Claims

Musk stunned everyone last week with the claim that DOGE had found about $380 million in fraudulent unemployment insurance claims.

He listed the culprits, and it was shocking how many people who could not possibly be alive, as well as children, were collecting benefits.

What was even more staggering is that the overwhelming majority of the claims took place in three major blue states.

Nearly 80% of all the fraud took place in California, Massachusetts, and New York.

Three Cities

Musk just about broke the internet on Wednesday, posting, “An initial survey of Unemployment Insurance claims since 2020 revealed the following: – 24.5k people over 115 years old claimed $59M in benefits – 28k people between 1 and 5 years old claimed $254M in benefits – 9.7k people with birth dates over 15 years in the future claimed $69M in benefits. In one case, someone with a birthday in 2154 claimed $41k.”

Musk cited a total of $382 million in fraud, so I am guessing this is the “really bad” thing that Trump had mentioned last week that DOGE discovered. Of that money, $305 million was between the three states mentioned above.

Musk also stated that a whopping 68% of unemployment benefits being paid to people on the terrorist watch list or who had criminal records were on parole status by the Biden administration and living in California.

Broken… that is what the system is, and I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon. While DOGE keeps pointing to these problems, Dems keep fighting him, and what makes everything worse is that many of these cuts are being blocked by Congress. How is this possibly considered a partisan issue? If you really want to have some fun, go look up the old tapes where Obama and other Democrats were railing about this waste and fraud, but now because the bad orange man wants to do something about it, they are taking the other side of the coin.
