I don’t like Reverand Al Sharpton, AOC, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and a host of other liberals, but I would never celebrate their deaths, especially if they were killed.
Now, I have never been one to pull punches after they die, but I prefer not to blatantly dump on their graves, either.
That is now how Kirk’s death was handled by the left, and now numerous suspensions, firings and/or resignations have been reported for that reason.
Recently, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced a new zero-tolerance rule, and there have been several people to fall since.
The highest-profile suspension was that of Army Col. Scott Stephens, who had openly celebrated Kirk’s assassination. He has since been relieved of duty and suspended.
He made several posts on the subject, one of which stated, "The death of Charlie Kirk in Utah was tragic. However, we can take comfort in the fact that Charlie was doing what he loved best — spreading hate, racism, homophobia, misogyny, and transphobia on college campuses.”
He continued, "I would offer empathy, but Charlie hated empathy. As we have been told in the wake of so many other tragedies, we have to move on. We can’t make this political."
Englewood Health and Dr. Matthew Jung were sued by nurse Lexi Kuenzle after the nurse reported that Jung had openly celebrated Kirk’s assassination.
Kuenzle reported the doctor’s behavior, at which point the nurse claimed that she was suspended.
The organization pushed back, stating, "The nurse was never fired; was never told she would be fired by Englewood Hospital; and will not miss any pay as part of our review of this matter."
Reports broke after the lawsuit was announced that Dr. Jung had resigned his position, clearly seeing the writing on the wall.
SRO Tanisha Blanche, who is employed by the Westchester County Police Department and assigned to Somers Intermediate School in Westchester County, has reportedly been relieved of duty after her comments about Kirk’s death.
She appeared to be celebrating Kirk’s assassination, posting, "Well that white sniper was over qualified when he put that hole in your neck hunni bunni."
In a separate post, she wrote, "This is who y'all crying about on my feed? Get a life.”
Removed is not fired, however, and it is being reported that she has been assigned administrative duties within the police department. That, to me, is not enough, as we cannot accept this type of behavior by people in these roles. Murder is just wrong, period, and it cannot be celebrated in any way.
