Former Vice President Mike Pence is expected to speak before the Jan. 6 House committee, according to a member of the group.
Maryland Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin shared the comments during an interview with CBS News' "Face the Nation" on Sunday.
Mike Pence is expected to testify before the special House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 siege of the U.S. Capitol.

“In no one’s case is a subpoena out of the question, but I would assume he’s gonna come forward and testify voluntarily, the way the vast majority of people have," Raskin said.
Pence has faced criticisms from both Democrats and Republicans over his actions regarding Jan. 6. Pence was the person responsible for overseeing the confirmation of votes for President Joe Biden which falls under the vice president's responsibilities.

The new announcement appears to clarify that Pence will be asked to speak before the committee, though no formal announcement has been made.
If so, the media will be watching closely for what is said as he will be the highest-ranking former Republican to address the committee.
