The latest high-profile politician to come under scrutiny for possible misplacement and wrongful storage of classified documents is former Vice President Mike Pence, according to sources telling The Wall Street Journal.
In the wake of former President Donald Trump having his Mar-a-Lago Florida estate raided by the Justice Department and the FBI in search of classified documents, others, including President Joe Biden, have come under intense scrutiny.
Biden's classified documents case, and any other non-president, have a much different situation to deal with legally, as former President Trump argued that as a president, he had the power to declassify documents at will.
That's a legal mess of a battle in the making, more than likely, as all parties involved prepare to defend why they had the documents in the first place, and then argue if the standards of storage were lawful, among a long list of additional issues.
Recently, Pence and his attorneys voluntarily disclosed that classified documents were discovered at his Indiana home, right after the Biden document scandal intensified.

His attorneys have described the classified documents discovered at Pence's home as "inadvertently packed up and transported and Mr. Pence was unaware of their existence."
Someone close to Pence reportedly also said the search of his Indiana home was "exhaustive" and sounded confident that no further documents would be discovered.

The FBI and DOJ will likely soon determine that, though a time frame of when Pence's home could be subject to a federal search has been announced.
Breitbart noted the timing:
This statement ropes him into the same scandal simmering around President Joe Biden after multiple reports showed that between 2o-25 documents were found in Biden’s vice-presidential office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C., and other places such as his home in Delaware.
Biden's document scandal has become such a monster at this point that his administration is now being asked tough questions about the issue from a press corps that usually tosses softballs.
That's not to mention the possibility that Biden's stashes of classified documents intertwined with his crack-addicted son's shady foreign business deals, which is another investigation on its own.
Who will they find with classified documents next?
