Michelle Obama may replace President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election according to latest rumors

The idea that former first lady Michelle Obama may replace President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election continues to pick up steam, the World Time Today reported. The latest comments to that effect came from Dave Rubin and guests on The Rubin Report Friday.

Rubin and his guests were speaking about an eleventh-hour swap with Biden and Obama after New York Post columnist Cindy Adams released two opinion pieces suggesting as much. In her original and follow-up pieces, Adams argued that Obama has been positioning herself to swoop in should Biden become unwilling or unable to run for reelection.

"Michelle says she’s 'terrified' Trump will win. No casual burp. Was programmed. She’s sent a survey to Dem biggies asking their feelings about her candidacy," Adams claimed.

She may not have been the first to float the idea that Obama would take over for a floundering Biden. However, her recent opinion pieces have become a springboard for many to comment on the possibility that seems to be more plausible by the day.

Rubin introduced the topic and conceded that Biden could become ineligible to run at any time and require a replacement. "It does seem obvious to me that the guy could fall today while we're on the air, and it could all end," Rubin stated.

"But they still have to get rid of Kamala [Harris], and that's going to be the real issue," the host said. Podcaster Sara Gonzalez agreed that it would be a challenge "optics-wise" but that it's necessary to get her to step away and allow someone else in.

The News & Why It Matters host said that "the Democrats know they have to do something, whether it is [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama, they cannot run this walking potato for another four years." Podcaster Michael Malice of Your Welcome interjected that they certainly can and will.

"But the potato won," Malice pointed out. He went on to explain that it's "not a given" that Biden would lose to his opponent, former President Donald Trump, and an Obama replacement is a stretch.

"I think this whole Michelle Obama thing is a complete Boomer fantasy. They just have this fixation," Malice said of the former first lady as the savior.

He went on to explain that is wishful thinking as Obama has "never won any elected office," nor does she have the "political resume" to make it a viable option.  "The claim that everyone in the Democratic Party who has paid their dues would just step aside for her is nuts," Malice said.

"If she wanted to have it, she could have had it in 2020. I think this is completely false," Malice said.

The podcaster went on to point out that Adams' assertion that some sort of secret survey went out to high-value donors is questionable at best. Gonzalez agreed with that viewpoint and that even with Biden in trouble, Obama would much rather stick to her "fancy life" than take over Washington, D.C.

"I still think that they're trying to prepare Gavin Newsom to take to take charge there. If I'm Michelle Obama, I don't want to do that. I'd rather just live my fancy life," Gonzalez concluded.

Regardless of who Democrats choose to finish the race in 2024, the fact remains that they're going to need some sort of change if they hope to win. Biden is unpopular and incompetent, and they're going to have a difficult time convincing the American people otherwise.
