Michelle Obama boosts her brother's new podcast on social media

Former First Lady Michelle Obama recently heaped praise on her slightly older brother, who just so happens to look quite a bit like her.

According to Hello Magazine, the former first lady promoted her brother Craig Robinson's podcast, drawing massive attention to the college basketball coach and broadcaster.

Robinson, 61, is only nine months older than Michelle Obama, and the two share a striking resemblance.

In addition to formerly playing college basketball at a high level, Robinson is also the Executive Director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Podcast promotion

Having a former president as a brother-in-law clearly has its perks, as Robinson's "Ways to Win" podcast, a project in collaboration with coach John Calipari, included Barack Obama as their first guest.

Michelle hyped up the podcast on her Instagram account, praising her older brother for his words of encouragement and ability to make others feel better.

"@CraigMalRob’s Ways To Win Podcast from @HigherGroundMedia is out now, and I am so proud of my big brother! Craig has always had the ability to bring out the best in others — including me — and I know listening to this podcast will leave you feeling the same way, too," she wrote.

She added, "Each week, he’ll join @UKCoachCalipari to share wisdom and lessons about leadership that are helpful not just in sports, but in your daily life."

The interview with Barack Obama touched on the subjects of basketball, leadership, and the former president's NCAA March Madness picks.

Hello Magazine noted:

Craig and Barack first became friends when the latter began dating Michelle, his colleague at her law firm, and she asked her brother to test out his basketball skills by playing a pickup game in Chicago with him and his friends.

Other Obama family updates

Malia Obama, the former president's daughter, recently made headlines regarding her reportedly successful up-and-coming filmmaking career.

According to Hollywood Life, Malia Ann Obama has several IMDB credits to her name so far, but she most recently debuted her film "The Heart," and stirred up discussions as she chose to leave her famous last name off of her credits in the movie.

Malia, now 25, described her film as one "about lost objects and lonely people and forgiveness and regret, but I also think it works hard to uncover where tenderness and closeness can exist in those things. We hope you enjoy the film and it makes you feel a bit less lonely, or at least reminds you not to forget about the people who are."

Meanwhile, her parents are raking in piles of cash from lucrative Netflix deals. Life is apparently pretty good for the Obamas these days.
