Meghan Markle Hosts Solo Thanksgiving Amidst Professional Split From Prince Harry

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, made a significant solo appearance last week, highlighting a growing professional separation from Prince Harry.

The New York Post reported that Meghan hosted a Thanksgiving event for Afghan women in the US, amid reports of her and Prince Harry attending separate professional engagements.

Last week, Markle appeared alone at a Thanksgiving event, which fueled speculations about her current relationship with Prince Harry. The event was designed to support Afghan women who have resettled in the United States, a cause close to her heart.

The evening was organized through the Archewell Foundation, a charity founded by Meghan and Harry. However, Prince Harry was notably absent from the gathering, attending different events related to the Invictus Games in Vancouver instead.

Meghan released a heartfelt statement on the Archewell website, expressing her commitment to building community through storytelling and collaboration.

Fostering Community Through Shared Experiences

At the event, Meghan emphasized the importance of creating a safe space for storytelling. She collaborated with Mina's List to bring together Afghan women for a night of sharing and gratitude.

The gathering included a dinner hosted at Our Place, an organization founded by Shiza Shahid. Here, conversations flowed freely among the participants, focusing on themes of resilience and gratitude.

As a token of appreciation, all attendees received new cookware to take home for the holiday season, reinforcing the sense of community and support.

In her statement, Meghan conveyed deep appreciation for the stories shared by the Afghan women. She noted the importance of these gatherings and promised to organize more events in the future to support women's empowerment.

"This initiative has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the US from Afghanistan," Meghan explained on the Archewell website.

The dinner encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience, a shared meal that Meghan described as profoundly moving.

Separate Appearances Hint at Professional Tensions

The separate appearances of Meghan and Harry at public events have raised questions about the state of their professional union. Over the past few months, both have been seen attending different events solo, suggesting a potential strain in their working relationship.

Despite these professional separations, the couple recently appeared together in a joint video for Veteran's Day. Here, they addressed the need to prioritize children's online safety, a project under their Archewell Foundation.

In the video, Harry hinted at a "crossroads" in their professional lives, suggesting some ongoing challenges they are navigating together.

Looking forward, Meghan and Harry have expressed interest in attending the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada. They plan to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the event, showcasing their continued commitment to the cause.

The couple's shared appearances and initiatives like these demonstrate their united front on certain projects, despite the recent professional separations.

Meghan's focus on uplifting women and building communities through her recent solo engagements highlights her personal commitment to these causes, regardless of the professional paths that she and Harry may explore separately.
