The Safe Passage on Interstates Act is co-sponsored by North Dakota Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer.

"Antifa and other radical protesters who block highways disrupt law-abiding Americans from driving to work, school buses from getting kids to school, and ambulances from getting to the hospital," Rubio said. "It's ridiculous that there is no federal law against this type of stunt."
"We need to make sure people face criminal penalties for blocking interstate systems that we all rely on," he added.

Rubio introduced the bill ahead of a strong push against him by Democrat Val Demings as he faces reelection in November.
The attacks have been strong, but Rubio continues to stand for conservative values, including standing against leftist protesters who seek to shut down highways to support their political causes. The bill may not receive the support it needs to pass at the moment, but it's an important message to send headed into the midterms.
