Sadly, we have another attack against federal agents to report.
There was a time when attacks against federal agents were unthinkable.
Now, they seem like an everyday occurrence, which I believe is due to Democrat rhetoric encouraging this pushback.
In July, several agents were ambushed in Alverado, TX.
In that case, there have been early two dozen arrests made after a facility in Texas came under attack with a fireworks assault.
Acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons stated, “This escalation in violence is incomprehensible, and those responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. This is precisely what we have been warning against, as disinformation and dangerous politically-motivated rhetoric spreads.
“We are thankful to Alvarado Police Department responding officers and that the officer injured has been discharged from the hospital. We will continue to work with the FBI and Texas Rangers as they investigate and prosecute those involved.”
In mid-October, federal immigration agents were in the process of making an apprehension when they came under attack.
The agents stated that while trying to apprehend a suspect, two individuals approached the agents and started beating them.
DHS stated, "ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
There was also an incident just outside of Chicago where agents were boxed in and rammed with another vehicle.
Saturday, reports started blowing up that agents had come under fire, again, in Chicago.
Border Patrol agents were in the midst of enforcement operations when a man passing by in a Jeep opened fire and immediately fled the scene. You would think that local politicians would do something to calm this down, but that was not the case. For instance, City Alderman Michael Rodriguez stated, "They’re doing things that are unconstitutional, that are illegal. They are causing fear and mayhem in our communities, and that's unacceptable."
DHS responded, "This incident is not isolated and reflects a growing and dangerous trend of violence and obstruction. Over the past two months, we’ve seen an increase in assaults and obstruction targeting federal law enforcement during operations."
These agents are not doing anything unconstitutional. They are enforcing immigration laws, period. My opinion… I don’t think Democrats will be happy until they see an immigration agent dead. Otherwise, why continue to keep turning up the heat with this irresponsible rhetoric?
