“The move means a potential indictment of the ex-president can’t be handed up before next week at the earliest," the New York Post reported.
"But the panel also isn’t expected to take up the Trump case next week, sources familiar with the matter said Tuesday. The grand jury is scheduled to reconvene Thursday but the Trump case won’t be on its agenda, sources said,” it added.

The case's recent update also follows communications between a House committee and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
"Bragg sent a letter to members of the House Judiciary Committee after they sent their own letter 'demanding communications, documents, and testimony relating to Bragg’s unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority and the potential indictment of former President Donald Trump,'" according to Conservative Brief.
"In his letter, the Manhattan DA said his office will 'publicly state the conclusion of our investigation—whether we conduct our work without bringing charges, or move forward with an indictment,'" it added.

The latest reports now believe the grand jury will be off for two weeks and will unlikely meet until April 24.
"The source said the grand jury will sit next week on Monday and Wednesday afternoon, but is not expected to meet on the Trump investigation. When proceedings are complete Wednesday, the source said the grand jury will be off for two weeks," Fox News reported.
The delays likely favor Trump's case as it indicates a need for further information to make a decision.
The case also continues to play an important role in Trump's comeback bid for the White House in 2024, as the nation may see a rematch of the 2020 presidential campaign.
