Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg pressuring Trump executive for guilty plea while letting illegal alien offenders off the hook

Critics of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg are speaking out about the disparate way crimes are being treated based on political agenda, National Review reported. The Democrat has been doggedly pursuing Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg while letting violent illegal alien offenders off the hook.

Many people are crying foul at the way Bragg has unfairly applied the law to two completely different types of alleged offenders. Bragg is again pressuring Weisselberg to plead guilty to fraud for his role in inflating the value of Trump's assets as chief financial officer while allowing violent criminals to walk.

Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James is pursuing the case against Trump that he overvalued his Manhattan apartment and exaggerated its square footage. Weisselberg claimed to have no involvement in this, but that doesn't matter to Democrats intent on putting Trump behind bars or at least knocking him out of the 2024 election completely.

Just last year, Bragg got Weisselberg to plead guilty to more than a dozen tax charges that amounted to 100 days in jail. While the 76-year-old languished in prison for months on these petty charges, Bragg parlayed his testimony to go after the Trump organization.

Bragg offered Weisselberg a tough ultimatum to turn against Trump or get more jail time. To his credit, Weisselberg has yet to crack.

It seems all of this is to serve the purpose of finding a way to destroy Trump or at least make an example of Weisselberg. Unfortunately, these tactics are only employed when attempting to take down a political enemy while actual violent criminals are treated with kid gloves.

No story illustrates this more clearly than a recent incident involving illegal immigrants who beat up two officers from the New York Police Department. As Fox News reported, several of the men involved were freed without bail, and at least four may have skipped town on the taxpayers' dime.

The incident occurred on Jan. 27 and made national headlines as video of the attack circulated. A group of men could be seen pummeling the police officers as they attempted to apprehend a suspect.

Following the attack, they may have swapped identification numbers with other illegal aliens and used a free travel voucher to head for California. New York City is currently facing a migrant crisis, and the Office of Emergency Management has intervened to offer migrants these vouchers.

The agency has spoken out against the actions of these suspects. "The men and women of the NYPD put their lives on the line every single day, working tirelessly to keep us and our streets safe. Violence — of any kind, and no less against our officers — is unacceptable and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," an OEM spokesperson said.

However, that kind of violence didn't seem to bother Bragg office when it came to releasing five of those involved without bail. Even Gov. Kathy Hochul was incredulous as to why this would be allowed to happen.

"Certainly, an assault on a police officer is bail-eligible. There are over 100 crimes that also can lead to deportation, and so that is also something I want to have a conversation with the district attorney about – his options here," Hochul told reporters.

However, it appears that Bragg considered allowing migrants to walk a more politically beneficial option, as Democrats are loathe to prosecute criminals or deport those in the country illegally. Instead, Bragg would rather work on getting Weisselberg to crack and turn against Trump.

The way Bragg is handling each investigation is outrageously partisan. It's inexcusable to allow violent offenders who shouldn't be in the country in the first place to go free, but especially so in the face of such disparate treatment.
