Lindsey Graham lashes out at members of "The Squad" over response to terrorist attacks on Israel

Sen. Lindsey Graham lashed out at members of "The Squad" after some of the radical leftists in Congress were denouncing Israel's response to an attack by the Hamas terrorist organization, the Daily Caller reported. An attack over the weekend left at least 900 dead and counting.

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, and Ayanna Pressley jumped at the chance to call for "de-escalation" or for "ending the occupation" in statements following the attacks. Instead of siding with the dead or the 100 hostages taken, 11 of whom are Americans, the radical leftists seemed to sympathize with the aggressors.

Graham was incensed at this approach among his Democratic colleagues while also calling for swift retaliation abroad. The South Carolina Republican said Iran should be warned that the U.S. will blow up an oil refinery for every hostage they kill.

He had equally strong words for the lawmakers who seemed to be siding against Israel in this conflict. "To the Squad, shut the hell up," Graham said.

"You’re emboldening the enemy. You are a disgrace to the United States Congress," he added.

"You are siding with terrorists over a democracy called Israel. You have lost your perspective here. I am confident most Democrats do not agree with the squad," Graham continued.

The Democratic members of the Squad, including Bush and Tlaib, have begun their usual routine of siding against America's allies. Bush said the "U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid" must end.

Tlaib also used the language of "apartheid state" in a statement about the attack, though she did express sympathy for the lives lost on both sides of the conflict. Jerusalem's Ambassador Michael Herzog called her out on the implications of such language, however.

"How much more blood needs to be spilled for you to overcome your prejudice and unequivocally condemn Hamas, a U.S.-designated terror organization?"  Herzog asked. Fellow Democratic Reps. Ritchie Torres of New York and Gottheimer of New Jersey and Ritchie Torres of New York also took issue with the radical leftist congresswomen.

It wasn't just these lawmakers who were eager to downplay the situation, however. Republicans criticized President Joe Biden as he held a barbecue Sunday evening as news was still rolling in about the attack.

"To the president, turn off the barbecue and speak to the American people to be the leader the world is looking for," recently ousted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said. Rep. Byron Donalds also excoriated the president for his indifference to the situation.

The Florida Republican compared it to Biden's disgraceful conduct at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware last year.  As the bodies of fallen American service members were being deplaned, Biden famously checked his watch.

These were people killed after Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, but he seemed unphased, if not a little impatient, by the whole thing. "This is the same man who left Americans behind in Afghanistan [and] was tracking time when our dead heroes returned home," Donalds said.

Democrats never miss an opportunity to side with America's enemies. The Squad members are simply doing what they've done all along, except this time, the atrocities are too troubling to ignore.
