“I explained to the director that we will do everything in our power, and we have jurisdiction over the FBI, that we have the right to see this document,” McCarthy said.
“I believe after this call we will get this document," he added.

“It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee,” House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said.
“We’ve asked the FBI to not only provide this record, but to also inform us what it did to investigate these allegations. The FBI has failed to do both," he continued.

"Democrats have accused their GOP counterparts of ignoring alleged misconduct by former President Donald Trump while trying to dig up 'dirt' on the Biden family. The White House has also shot back at Republicans in Congress," CF reported.
“House Republicans have shown no evidence of any policy decisions influenced by anything other than U.S. national interests,” tweeted White House spokesperson Ian Sams on Wednesday. “That’s because they can’t.”
The FBI has come under fire for a variety of issues in recent weeks in addition to the subpoena for Biden's file.
Other accusations have included claims by three former FBI employees who are now serving as whistleblowers against the agency. The bureau disputes their testimony which was shared with lawmakers last week about politicization in the agency.
The Biden bribery file may be one of the biggest finds yet for the Oversight Committee if it can get its hands on a copy. The concerns between the president, the FBI and those seeking to investigate also add questions about what else may exist related to Hunter Biden's business dealings.
