Kash Patel makes several stunning announcements about FBI's direction

FBI Director Kash Patel has had a big week, and that is putting it mildly.

Several announcements have been made over the last week or so that have put Patel front and center in the media, and he surely has liberals and Democrats spinning.

Big arrests made

On Tuesday, the FBI made a huge announcement regarding arrests made during a massive sting to take down child predators.

More than 200 people were arrested in Operation Restore Justice, as the FBI is tracking down child sex abuse offenders around the country.

Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Alina Habba, broke the news, stating, in part, “The success of Operation Restore Justice shows the Department of Justice’s unwavering dedication to finding and prosecuting child predators. I will apply the full power of my office to bring these criminals to justice and ensure the safety of every child."

She added, “Through coordination among federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, we deploy all resources to pursue justice and take decisive action against anyone who exploits the most vulnerable members of our community.”

You have been warned

Patel was not done with the big announcements, putting all nefarious characters on alert after the FBI took down a former Michigan Army National Guard member who was planning a mass shooting event at a local military base.

Former Michigan Army National Guard member, Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, 19, was arrested after undercover agents were able to lure Said in, thinking he was recruiting help for his planned attack on the U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) center at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan.

Patel stated, "Let this be a warning: Anyone who targets our military or conspires with foreign terrorist organizations will be found, stopped and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

He added, "I commend the men and women of the Joint Terrorism Task Force and our law enforcement partners for their continued dedication to protecting the American people."

One more thing

After such a busy week, one would think that maybe Patel would take a long weekend, but he chose to drop one more bombshell, stating that the FBI would be vacating the J. Edgar Hoover Building, which has long served as the agency's D.C. headquarters, transferring its employees to other offices around the country.

Patel stated, “This FBI is leaving the [J. Edgar] Hoover Building because this building is unsafe for our workforce."

He went on, “We want the American men and women to know if you’re going to come work at the premier law enforcement agency in the world, we’re going to give you a building that’s commensurate with that, and that’s not this place.”

The building has been in use since 1975, but it has been targeted by both Trump and Patel in the past for its flaws, but there has been no information as to whether a new building will be erected, as Trump has suggested in the past. Any way you slice it, the only bigger news this week than what Patel has been doing has come from the president himself as he traveled the Middle East.
