As it has lately come to light, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been secretly laying Christmas wreaths on the graves of American troops for years, thus he exemplifies this poem perfectly.
According to a report by The Western Journal, a picture she shared on Twitter, Washington, D.C., journalist and author Emily Miller captured Thomas working with Wreaths Across America on Saturday at Arlington National Cemetery.

Love how Justice Clarence Thomas quietly lays wreaths with all the other volunteers every year at Arlington National Cemetery for #wreathsacrossamerica to honor those who have the ultimate sacrifice. pic.twitter.com/xerCBt8ICM

A humanitarian group called Wreaths Across America organizes thousands of volunteers each year to place wreaths on the graves of veterans and dead troops. Thomas has volunteered at Arlington Cemetery in the past as well.
In a casual image from 2013, the justice is seen working to tidy up the cemetery after the holiday season on a soggy January day.
The candid character of the picture contrasts sharply with the staged photo opportunities Democratic politicians create for their own self-serving narratives and goals.
In 2018, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who was running for the U.S. House at the time, tried to capitalize on the border issue with a brazen photo session.
AOC has gained a reputation for crying crocodile tears in front of the cameras if something doesn't go her way since then.
Even more embarrassing than AOC's antics, in my opinion, was the moment Democratic leaders engaged in "cultural appropriation" in the wake of George Floyd's passing in 2020.
Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi of the Democratic Party mockingly dressed up in traditional African attire and knelt in the Capitol in support of the felon George Floyd.
According to a Facebook user, Democratic New Jersey Rep. Andy Kim shamelessly tried to gain influence from the Capitol breach by clearing up the "carnage," which was actually a few water bottles.
Kim was seen in a picture “experiencing the horror firsthand,” yet everything else appeared to be comically spotless. Therefore, it is encouraging to see Thomas volunteering for a worthwhile cause rather than doing so merely to virtue signal.
One of the few politicians in America who genuinely cares about his nation and the individuals who have given their lives to defend it is Thomas. According to TWJ's report, America needs more people in Washington who are motivated by appreciation and humility rather than self-interest.
