Jai Steadman, the head men’s basketball coach at Independence, remembered Paljor as not only talented but also as a vibrant and dedicated young man.
"He was just a star. He came in every day smiling, came into work every single day," Steadman recalled, emphasizing how Paljor's positive demeanor was infectious among his teammates.
Paljor had aspired to play basketball professionally, and according to Steadman, he had the potential to achieve that dream. Steadman, who has experience coaching in the NBA G League and Europe, expressed his confidence in Paljor’s abilities to succeed professionally.
“I've coached in NBA G league, I coached in Europe, he would've played for money, his raw talent and it was coming together," he noted.
