Judge blocks Garcia deportation

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a true thorn in the side of this administration.

This all got started when Trump deported Garcia even though he had a protection order against moving him to El Salvador.

Since then, he has been brought back, facing charges of human trafficking, among others, and was slated to be deported to Uganda, but a judge just slammed the brakes on the move, with yet another added twist.

Corrupt

When Garcia was brought back, he faced human trafficking charges based on bodycam footage of a traffic stop where it appeared he was moving illegal immigrants.

Eventually, he was released, and when he reported to the ICE office in Maryland, he was apprehended and slated to be deported to Uganda, which is now also accepting third-party illegals from the Trump administration.

As he was being filmed, he could be heard uttering, "gobierno corrupto," which is Spanish for "corrupt government."

So, if he thinks the government is so corrupt, then why does he continue to fight to stay here?

Blocked

As the administration prepared to deport Garcia again, a federal judge had other ideas.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, appointed by Barack Obama, blocked the deportation, scheduling another hearing for October 6.

Xinis told DOJ attorney Drew Ensign, "Your clients are absolutely forbidden at this juncture to remove Mr. Abrego Garcia from the continental United States.”

That, however, was far from the only setback the Trump administration would experience in its new battle with Garcia, as there is yet another cruel twist to this tale.

Asylum

Reports started to surface on Wednesday that Garcia is now requesting asylum based on his belief that gangs in Uganda would take retribution against him.

This significantly complicated matters, and could win up taking weeks or months for Garcia’s case to be settled, all the while he will be roaming free in the country.

Now, I am not fully versed on all immigration laws, but I do believe there is a ticking clock on the time from when he entered the country to the deadline for him to file for asylum.

This will all be flushed out at the hearing on October 6, as Judge Xinis will have to vet the claims by Garcia that he is facing danger if deported there. Xinis is a liberal judge, so I think you guys know what I believe is going to happen here. And if the decision goes the way I think, I expect Trump to go nuclear and for Bondi to put the accelerator to the floor to have him prosecuted on the human trafficking charges.
