President Joe Biden just got home from Christmas vacation only to find he had a mutiny on his hands from his campaign staff.
According to an anonymous letter that was first obtained by Politico, Biden's campaign staffers are demanding that he call for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, a move that would have devastating consequences.
The October 7th terrorist attack that launched the war between Israel and terrorist organization Hamas shocked the world and shut down any debate about which side the United States should stand with.
President Biden wisely chose to stand by Israel, one of our strongest allies in the region, and avoided facing massive backlash from the Jewish-American community.
However, it seems Biden's correct decision to stand with Israel has caused trouble for him with the radicals that he has brought in to staff the White House and his reelection campaign.
The letter obtained by Politico was written by 17 anonymous staffers of Biden’s re-election campaign.
In that letter, they accused the president of being complicit in alleged genocide unless he would reverse course and slash unconditional military aid to Israel.
The letter stated, "As your staff, we believe it is both a moral and electoral imperative for you to publicly call for a cessation of violence. Complicity in the death of over 20,000 Palestinians, 8,200 of whom are children, simply cannot be justified."
Israel is locked in a struggle that was started by a terrorist group that butchered, raped, and killed thousands of Israeli's both civilian and soldier.
The events of October 7th made it clear that Israel and Hamas cannot coexist and Hamas should not be allowed to exist by the civilized world.
However, Biden's radical underlings don't understand this and have reportedly quitting in droves. Biden is stuck between a rock and a hard place, either call for a ceasefire and aquiece to his radical staffers or stand with Israel and lost the support of the radical left in 2024.
The letter continued by saying, "It is not enough to merely be the alternative to Donald Trump. The campaign has to shift the feeling in the pits of voters’ stomachs, the same feeling that weighs on us every day as we fight for your reelection. The only way to do that is to call for a ceasefire."
Biden's campaign has counted on being an alternative to Trump but that won't be good enough to radicals who want to see the United States abandon our ally and support terrorists.
Biden already needs every advantage he can get and losing radical voters would be devastating for him in 2024.
