President Joe Biden confirmed that the troops he is sending to the southern border won't be stopping migrants from entering the country.
Biden's plan instead involves troops helping with processing migrants crossing into the U.S.

“We are in a situation where 1500 people at the border, they’re not there to enforce the law, they’re there to free up the border agents that need to be on the border and we’re having another thousand people coming in, they are asylum judges to make judges, to move things along," Biden said on MSNBC.
"I’ve asked this Congress for help in terms of what they need at the border. They need more agents, they need more people to clear people,” he added.

“For 90 days, these 1,500 military personnel will fill critical capability gaps, such as ground-based detection and monitoring, data entry, and warehouse support, until [Border Patrol agents] can address these needs through contracted support,” said Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder.
“Military personnel will not directly participate in law enforcement activities,” Ryder said. “This deployment to the border is consistent with other forms of military support to DHS over many years.”

The announcement comes just days ahead of the end of Title 42, a pandemic policy that stopped some migrants from entering due to health concerns.
"Troy Miller, the top official at CBP, recently told Congress that his agency is preparing for as many as 10,000 migrants to cross the southern border every day after the end of Title 42, which would almost double the daily average in March," CBS News reported.
"Daily migrant arrivals have already increased to more than 7,000 in recent days," it added.
The president's plan appears to show a strong sign of force to protect the border but instead will only use military personnel to help in indirect ways that will not stop migrants from entering the nation in overwhelming numbers.
The border crisis is largely due to Biden's policies, something that is not changing with the end of Title 42 but continues to spiral out of control.
