Jill Biden interrupted during speech by pro-Palestinian protesters

It's not just President Joe Biden who has lost the support of part of his base over his administration's approach to the Irasel-Hamas war.

According to The Hill, First Lady Jill Biden attempted to give a speech in Tuscon, Arizona on women's rights, but the event quickly turned nasty as pro-Palestinian protesters heckled her and accused her husband of allowing "genocide."

Jill Biden was giving the speech as part of her "Women for Biden-Harris" tour around the country, where she focuses heavily on abortion rights.

The president and members of his administration have been interrupted countless times over the past few months regarding the situation happening in the Gaza Strip.

What did they say?

The first lady's event kicked off relatively normally until one member of the audience, a protester, shouted out the recurring question they keep asking members of the White House.

"Jill, when are you and the president going to call for a cease-fire in Gaza?" the protester said, who was later removed from the event by security personnel.

That triggered several other undercover pro-Palestinian protesters in the crowd to stand up and shout related questions and concerns.

"This is a genocide being committed by our tax dollars – women and girls that matter," one said before she was quickly taken away by security.

The Hill noted:

President Biden has been regularly confronted with pro-Palestine protestors at his campaign events around the nation, with many activists livid with the way his administration has handled the Israel-Hamas war. The pressure has intensified, especially from the progressives and Democrats in Michigan.

Social media users react

Many social media users weighed in on the Bidens being interrupted on the campaign trail.

"Bidens are hated by everyone in USA If the crowd is not paid, everyone hates Biden. it is only paid crowds where they can create an illusion that somebody loves them. those people do not exist!" one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "I am not hearing as much heckling as I would like to hear, but it's a great start."

President Biden has lost significant support from progressives in the party over his handling of the Israel-Hamas war, and especially in states like Michigan -- a state that he desperately needs to win to have a chance at beating former President Donald Trump in the general election.
