James Comer confirms that the Biden family 'will be subpoenaed'

U.S. House Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the head of the House Oversight Committee, says that he and his committee will subpoena President Joe Biden and his family as part of their ongoing investigation into alleged Biden family corruption.

Comer revealed as much during an appearance Thursday on Fox Business's Mornings with Maria, which is hosted by Maria Bartiromo.

The interview came after the House Oversight Committee released bank records that it has obtained of the Biden family. The bank records reveal that the Biden family has received upwards of $20 million from such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.

The big question, of course, is "why?" What did Biden do in order to receive this money?

The running hypothesis is that the money was in exchange for influence peddling. And, Comer and his committee have gathered more and more evidence that would seem to support this hypothesis.

Biden and associates, however, continue to dismiss the evidence and to insist that there is nothing to see here.

Now, Comer says that he is planning on subpoenaing the Bidens.

"This is always going to end with the Bidens coming in front of the committee. We are going to subpoena the family," Comer told Bartiromo.

The congressman continued:

We know that this is going to end up in court, when we subpoena the Bidens. So, we’re putting together a case and I think we’ve done that very well. We've shown the bank records. If I had subpoenaed Joe and Hunter Biden the first day I became chairman of the committee, it would have been tied up in court, and the judge would have eventually thrown it out. We have put together a case that I think would stand up in any court of law in America.

Comer, during the interview, did not go into any specifics, such as when the subpoenas will be issued.

Comer only said that he wants to speak with "three or four more associates" of Biden before his committee moves forward with the subpoenas. Comer did not provide any hints about who these associates may be.

Comer, during the interview, also slammed Biden for his ongoing attempts to dismiss the evidence that Comer's committee has uncovered.

And, the congressman revealed that he and his committee, in their investigation, are "being obstructed every step of the way by the Department of Justice (DOJ), by the FBI, by the Secret Service, by the IRS, and by the Biden family attorneys.

Comer, however, insisted that this is not going to stop his committee from getting to the bottom of things.
