Longtime Democratic Party strategist James Carville was once among the most respected voices in politics, but that was a long time ago.
Like many others, he now has a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, which has turned him into a raging, fear-mongering lunatic.
Carville has also fallen victim to social media, saying outrageous things to generate likes, clicks, and shares, with the latest example being his take on the 2026 election.
Before we get into Carville’s comments, I wanted to do a quick refresher on Dems talking about rigged elections when they don’t win.
Warren has failed as a presidential candidate, but according to her, that's because the system is rigged.
After the 2016 primary race, she stated, “The process was rigged and now it is up to Democrats to build a new process, a process that really works and works for everyone. It’s got to have an outcome that really has the confidence of the people.”
Now, think back to when you heard someone in the media call her an election denier or bring up her quotes to Hillary Clinton about that race. It has never happened.
During Trump’s first term, Democrats regularly challenged the outcome of the 2016 election, and the media never called them election deniers like they did to Trump and his supporters in the wake of 2020.
The late Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) stated, “I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president."
Hillary Clinton, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), and even Joe Biden all called Trump an illegitimate president at one point or another
During a particularly memorable moment, an observer told Biden, "He's illegitimate and my biggest fear is that he's going to do it again with the help of Vlad, his best pal, and we're going to be stuck for six more years with this guy, and that is terrifying, it's terrifying," and he responded, “I absolutely agree.”
Carville was on News Nation with Chris Cuomo this week, and that is when he proved that he has gone over the edge.
When Cuomo asked him about his comments that Trump might try to pull something in the next election, Carville explained, “I think he’s going to see that Big Beautiful Bill is about 25 points on the water is going to be 30 points under water. He is going to see a massive defeat coming and he’s going try to do anything he can to extricate himself from that defeat."
Carville went on, “I would not put it at all past him to try to call martial law, or declared some kind of national emergency in the country or anything like that because the hoof prints of coming you can hear them. And they’re going to get a shellacking in November of 2026.”
Worse than these people making predictions like this is the fact that nobody ever calls them on it when they do not come true. Trump will not declare martial law to block Dems from winning in 2026. Trump will not proclaim himself a dictator and stop all elections. This is all ridiculous fearmongering on the part of the leftist media, and it needs to stop. They are just as bad as Democrats in getting people riled up to riot.
