Former President Donald Trump keeps marching toward the finish line, and is still picking up endorsements along the way in key states.
Earlier this week, he grabbed the endorsement of Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird (R).

According to Breitbart, AG Bird told the outlet via phone that she believes Trump is the Republican candidate who can set America back on the track to success, recounting Trump's successes with a number of issues -- like the southern U.S. border -- that the Biden administration can't seem to get right.
Bird said that her knowledge of the issues that matter to Iowans is why she believes Trump is the best bet, as he has a proven track record of tackling those issues.
"He led the economy. He secured our southern border. He fought for Iowa farmers, and he kept America strong in the world," Bird said. "Those are all issues that I hear about from the grassroots in Iowa, and that’s a sharp contrast to Biden’s failed leadership."
Bird held nothing back in confidently stating that Trump will win the GOP nomination, and noted that he's "very popular in Iowa."
"The contrast between the Trump & Biden Admins couldn’t be more clear. With Biden, we have soaring inflation, a border crisis, & a gov’t that thinks they can raise our kids better than us. The list goes on. It’s time to fire Biden & put @realdonaldtrump back in the White House!" Bird wrote on X.

Bird went on to point out that America needs strong leadership more than ever, noting the recent Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel. She, along with millions of others, believes Trump is the kind of leader needed at this critical moment in time.
"I’m supporting him because I think at a time like this, especially when we see the terrorism against Israel, we need a strong leader, and we all need to unite behind President Trump, who will defeat Biden and who will lead our country and get our country back, quite frankly," Bird said.
She went as far as insisting that the Hamas attack on Israel wouldn't have happened on Trump's watch.
Bird was also questioned about Trump's four indictments. She, like many others, believes politics were injected into the decision to indict the former president, and she's not standing for it.
"Well, as a prosecutor, I know that politics has no place in prosecutions; that’s just wrong," Bird said. "It undermines the rule of law. It undermines our constitution, our democratic election process, and our country deserves a lot better than that."
