The ongoing case against Hunter Biden took another wild turn recently when it was revealed that his lawyers threatened to haul his old man, the president, to court to testify if federal prosecutors would have charged Hunter with wrongdoing.
According to Breitbart, a 32-page memo obtained by Politico laid out how Chris Clark, Hunter's former lawyer, was ready to drop a nuke in order to protect his client, putting President Joe Biden's White House in quite a tough spot.
Breitbart noted:
Chris Clark, Hunter Biden’s former lawyer, reportedly wrote a threatening letter to prosecutors in October 2022, warning the department not to charge Hunter Biden. The letter followed leaked news that prosecutors had gathered enough evidence to charge Joe Biden’s son with illegally buying a firearm while still using crack cocaine.
Clark, in his threatening letter, said that forcing President Biden to take the stand would have amounted to a "constitutional crisis."
"President Biden now unquestionably would be a fact witness for the defense in any criminal trial," Clark wrote.
He added: "There can be no doubt that these leaks have inserted President Biden into this case," Clark wrote. "This of all cases justifies neither the spectacle of a sitting President testifying at a criminal trial nor the potential for a resulting Constitutional crisis."
Seemingly, the threat worked to some degree, because Hunter Biden was about to move on without so much as a slap on the hand until a pair of hero IRS whistleblowers exposed what was really happening in the background.

"And this curious fact: Hunter was involved in the Trump impeachment over Ukraine. In the summer of 2019, he tells an adviser he has an all-day meeting “with impeachment lawyers”. After 5 years, he still has not been interviewed by Weiss’ team or testified before the grand jury," Miranda Devine wrote in a follow-up post.
Breitbart added:
In June, the House Ways and Means Committee voted to make public multiple instances of alleged political interference in which the DOJ “thwarted, hampered or interfered” with the IRS tax investigation into Hunter Biden. IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel confirmed the rights of agency whistleblowers to make protected disclosures to Congress.
Social media reacted as predicted when news broke of Hunter's lawyer's threat to put the elderly president on the stand.
"We are witnessing the most corrupt administration in American history… Largest human and drug trafficking operation ever," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "Hunter needs to testify about how his Dad got his son involved in his dirty bribes and shakedowns, this is about Joe, Hunter is Joe's collateral damage, it's sad."
Only time will tell if Hunter Biden answers for his alleged crimes.
