An attorney for first son Hunter Biden is asking for an investigation of former business associate Tony Bobulinski, claiming he lied about the working relationship between the two men.
The move is based on an interview Bobulinski shared in 2020 with the FBI that Hunter Biden's lawyer disputes, according to the request.

“We recently received information demonstrating that numerous statements made by Mr. Bobulinski in Washington, D.C. during an interview with the FBI on October 23, 2020, concerning our client, Hunter Biden, are false,” Abbe Lowell, Biden’s attorney, wrote in a letter to U.S. attorney for D.C. Matthew Graves.
Comparing the statements that Mr. Bobulinski made to the FBI with other communications of his or uncontradicted facts should result in an investigation as to whether the conduct of Mr. Bobulinski violated federal law—including, but not limited to, making materially false statements to the U.S. government in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001, and misleading a federal investigation,” it added.

"Hunter Biden and his legal team are once again attacking anyone who speaks out against the Bidens. This time, their target is Tony Bobulinski, a potential witness in our investigation," the House Oversight Committee posted to X.
"We will not tolerate witness intimidation. The truth will come out soon enough despite the Biden team’s threatening tactics. We will give Hunter the opportunity to clear the air and speak with us soon," it continued.

"If Hunter Biden and the Biden family are so determined to ensure that the full truth is put before the American people, Hunter, Jim, Joe and I should all appear together before Congress, publicly and under oath," Bobulinski said in a challenge to the Bidens.
"They can name the date, time and place, and I would certainly be willing to do that for the American people," he noted.
The move to investigate the former business associate also comes as the Oversight Committee shared that it has obtained nearly all of Hunter Biden's banking records.
The longtime request has been granted, offering a massive amount of information that could soon lead to a request for Hunter Biden's testimony.
The situation is serious for Hunter Biden, regardless of his attacks on his former business associate.
