Hunter Biden plea deal proves DOJ compromised and can no longer be trusted

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, appeared before a federal judge in a Delaware courthouse and entered a "Not Guilty" plea after the judge blew up his plea deal.

It turned out that Biden's plea deal was so extensive that it effectively granted him immunity from further prosecution. Biden's case involves two misdemeanor tax charges but the plea deal seemingly shielded him from much more serious allegations.

U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika said she had "concerns” about pairing the misdemeanor plea deal with a deal for a felony gun charge.

Noreika then removed the prosecution immunity clause from the plea deal prompting Biden to plead "Not Guilty," and abandoning the plea deal that many suspect was created via collusion between the DOJ and Biden's legal team.

DOJ protecting Biden

While the DOJ prosecutes former President Donald Trump with the full force of the law, they are simultaneously defending the Biden family.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham stated during her Thursday show that, "Now the details of the now defunct Hunter Biden plea show once again how far the legal system will bend to accommodate and ultimately protect the Bidens. So the rule of law is always an afterthought for these people. What’s important is keeping Joe Biden in power."

Hunter Biden's prosecution is extremely damaging to President Joe Biden politically and Democrats are doing everything in their power to minimize the damage.

Luckily for them, they have the DOJ taking an active hand in helping to protect Hunter Biden. The plea deal was deliberately crafted to cover prosecution for more serious and politically damaging crimes that may have been committed.

Ingraham continued by saying, "Very conveniently, it would have covered every crime he may have committed during the relevant time frame. Presumably stuff regarding his lucrative business dealings with foreign entities based in China, Romania, Ukraine and God knows where else.  Now the effort to shield Hunter from further investigations — this is an explosive development, and it begs the question, if all these relationships he had with foreign business interests were on the up and up, now, why would the first son and why would his legal team think he needed this expansive immunity deal? And why wasn’t this known until yesterday?"

Ingraham's speculation was backed up by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) who seemed to agree with the idea that the plea deal was deliberately designed to protect the Biden family.

Hawley stated, "It’s very telling that the judge intervened here and said basically, ‘No, I’m not going to approve some sweeping blanket deal.' I mean, that tells you the court has serious concerns about other potential charges here and also the scope of the deal, which has seemed outrageous from the beginning. This, I think, signals that they’re still very much as potential for prosecution forward."

What comes next

Hunter Biden and his legal team have a long fight ahead of them thanks to Judge Noreika's decision to blow up the plea deal.

Alongside the tax charges he is facing, he is also facing a very serious felony gun charge. In 2018, Biden filled out a form to buy a handgun and testified that he was not using illicit substances.

Then it later surfaced that at the time, Biden was using hard drugs meaning he lied to buy a handgun. This is just one of many serious allegations that he will have to face in court now that the plea deal is no longer protecting him.
