Hunter Biden could see charges, jail stint in Arkansas child support battle

While Hunter Biden should probably be in prison for a number of reasons, his first time behind bars could possibly happen regarding his Arkansas-based child support battle.

According to the Washington Examiner, the president's son was ordered by Judge Holly Lodge Meyer to make a court appearance in July or face "possible contempt proceedings and even potential jail time."

Judge Meyer, who's handling the child support case, ordered Hunter Biden to appear in her Batesville-based courthouse on July 10 to "why he should not be held in contempt."

The judge's question concerns financial information requested by lawyers for Lunden Alexis Roberts, the mother of Hunter Biden's child, which was not turned over by Hunter Biden's attorneys.

The Examiner noted:

The judge said the lawyers for Roberts were seeking, and she would herself consider, “punishment or sanctions” against Hunter Biden, including “incarceration for civil contempt until such time as the defendant fully answers discovery for a period of up to six months" and "incarceration for criminal contempt for a period of up to six months."

The judge added that the president's son is "hereby given notice that his ‘ability to pay’ is or may become a critical issue in the contempt proceeding" and that the junior Biden "will have an opportunity at the hearing to respond to statements and questions about his financial status."

The controversy surrounding the case has been sickening for the mother and child, as Hunter Biden originally denied that the child was his.

DNA testing proved otherwise, which prompted the child support battle that has now become a real issue for President Biden's White House, especially as the 2024 election inches closer.

Critics have slammed the Biden family for essentially denying the young child's existence.

Hunter Biden's lawyers even fought attempts by Roberts to have her daughter's last name changed to "Biden."

Judge Meyer indicated in her most recent order that one of the sanctions she's considering issuing involves striking the case regarding the name change battle and Hunter Biden's lawyers ability to fight it.

Thankfully, someone else is looking out for the child. For Hunter Biden to stonewall the mother's request for full financial disclosure just so he can get out of paying much larger support sums is downright dirty.

Only time will tell if the situation actually lands Hunter Biden in an Arkansas jail, but it's clear that the judge is not playing games.
