House Oversight Committee accuses Hunter Biden of trying to "intimidate" former business partner Tony Bobulinski

The House Oversight Committee has accused Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, of attempting to "intimidate" witness Tony Bobulinski, Breitbart reported. The Committee is engaged in an impeachment inquiry against the president and is looking to call Bobulinksi to testify.

As a former business associate of the Bidens, Bobulinski blew the whistle on the alleged setup that included "10 held by H for the big guy" in one of Hunter Biden's shady business deals. Bobulinski claimed that the president was the "big guy," suggesting Joe Biden had a hand in his son's corrupt schemes.

Now Hunter Biden's attorneys want Bobulinski investigated for allegedly lying to the FBI. This was made known in a letter to U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves that NBC News obtained Friday.

The letter from Abbe Lowell, a Hunter Biden attorney, claimed that the legal team "recently received information demonstrating that numerous statements made by Mr. Bobulinski in Washington, D.C. during an interview with the FBI on October 23, 2020, concerning our client, Hunter Biden, are false," she wrote.  The Committee made Bobulinksi's statements from that interview public after a congressional hearing where two IRS agents talked about it.

“The materials reveal the extraordinary lengths Mr. Bobulinski and other individuals were willing to go to implicate Mr. Biden or members of his family in some false and meritless allegations of wrongdoing. Even in an era in which people peddle knowing lies with the goal of their falsehoods being repeated and disseminated for their political advantage, these statements by Mr. Bobulinski cannot and must not go unchecked," Lowell wrote.

Notably, Bobulinski was a close associate of the Biden family and had direct dealings with Joe Biden. He reportedly met with Joe Biden to discuss the Chinese Communist Party-linked CEFC China Energy company in May 2017.

Moreover, Bobulinksi's claim about Joe Biden being the "big guy" was confirmed by at least five other people in Biden's orbit. Still, Hunter Biden's attorneys are attempting to smear him to avoid the revelations he provided about the corruption of the Biden family.

"Hunter Biden and his legal team are once again attacking anyone who speaks out against the Bidens. This time, their target is Tony Bobulinski, a potential witness in our investigation," the Committee said on X Friday.

"We will not tolerate witness intimidation. The truth will come out soon enough despite the Biden team’s threatening tactics. We will give Hunter the opportunity to clear the air and speak with us soon," the post continued.

Hunter Biden's legal team is going after Bobulinski because his testimony is powerfully incriminating. The House will call him as a witness in the newest case, but Bobulinski has already provided information to investigators as far back as 2020.

Cracks are beginning to form in the protective wall around the Bidens as Hunter Biden navigates legal proceedings over tax evasion and three felony gun charges. Meanwhile, a confidential source reported that Hunter and Joe Biden received $5 million each in bribes for a Ukrainian oligarch, Fox News reported.

It seems that intimidating witnesses is the preferred modus operandi for members of the Biden family and their surrogates. Even after some 40 agents spread throughout the U.S. provided evidence of alleged corruption, the Justice Department refused to pursue them without explanation, the New York Post reported.

"An essential question that must be answered is this: did the FBI investigate the information or shut it down? Indeed, if those sources were improperly shut down, it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for the FBI," Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa posed to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland in a letter.

The Bidens circle the wagons for one another, and it appears Hunter Biden is just doing what's expected for his father. However, the walls are closing in on them both as investigations continue.
