Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), at the tender age of 91, is opening up about the Biden presidency.
Grassley is the oldest member of Congress in either chamber, so you would think he might have a soft spot for Biden. That, however, is not the case, as Grassley just unloaded on the Biden presidency.
According to Joe Biden, he was the man who made all the calls, but we already know that is not true.
After the autopen debacle, questions were being asked if executive orders and pardons were being issued without Biden knowing.
Biden came out publicly to say that he was the one who made the final calls, period.
Afterward, White House communications were revealed that showed his Chief of Staff was the one who made the final approval on many of the commutations given by the administration.
Former White House spokesman Ian Sams defended Joe Biden to the death when he was in office, but he changed his tune during House Oversight testimony.
Now, you have to keep in mind that Sams was the legal mouthpiece for the administration, and if you read his statements regularly, he always sounded like he was around Biden more than anyone, but that was clearly not the case.
Sams testified that he had “very limited” access to Biden, claiming only two direct interactions with Biden, as well as a virtual meeting and a phone call.
This was a shocking revelation for one of the major spokespeople of the administration.
Grassley served in the Senate with Joe Biden for many years, so he gave him the benefit of the doubt when he was elected president.
Grassley stated, "I think it’s, if you feel like you know somebody well, it’s hard to believe some of the things that you originally heard, now you kind of know. I was a little naive about how I looked at the ‘President Biden’ compared to ‘Sen. Biden.’"
Grassley pointed to the pardons as well, stating, "When you do a thousand commutations and pardons, and you don’t pay any attention to it, you aren’t doing your job.”
The Senator further stated that he never thought Biden would be considered an effective president, and I have to agree with that. When history tells the story of Joe Biden, I think his legacy will be utterly destroyed.
