Gisele Bundchen reveals parenting troubles following divorce from Tom Brady

It appears that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are learning the hard way that post-divorce parenting is difficult.

Bundchen recently opened up about her post-divorce parenting difficulties during an interview with Harper's Bazaar. Bundchen is the cover girl for the February 2024 Joy Issue.

For those unfamiliar with Bundchen, she is a supermodel. In fact, according to Forbes, she was the highest paid model in the world during the period from 2002 to 2016. She continues to be a top model to this day, although she is no longer in the number one spot, at least in terms of salary.

Chances are, however, that you are much more familiar with Brady, the former National Football League (NFL) quarterback who has won seven Super Bowl Championships.

Bundchen and Brady were married for 14 years before deciding to call it quits in 2022.

The couple has two children together, a 14-year-old son named Benjamin and an 11-year-old daughter named Vivian. Bundchen refers to the former as "Benny" and the latter as "Vivi."

"Benny and Vivi have had a very different upbringing than Bündchen had. But with both now around the same age she was when she left home, she wants to make sure they have the tools to navigate the world on their own," Harper's Bazaar reports.

It is at this point that the outlet quotes Bundchen as revealing that she "sometimes" gets "pushback" from her children because of the post-divorce parenting situation.

"The way you make your room, the way you organize and make your bed is the way you’re going to do your life. If you’re not learning here and now, then when and with who?," Bundchen recalled telling her children.

Then, she added, "Sometimes, I get pushback, especially because now they’re in two different homes and there are two different ways. But, I feel like I owe it to my kids, because of what my mom taught me."

It appears that, with "two different ways," Bundchen was suggesting that she and Brady have two "different" parenting styles, which, no doubt, is something that could make post-divorce parenting even more difficult than it otherwise would be.

Bundchen and Brady have been in many news headlines since their divorce.

One of the most recent examples was when they mourned the death of their long time family dog.

Bundchen recently said, "I can't really worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business. It's really their business that they're trying to project onto me. If I'm going to be affected by that, I'm never going to live my truth."
