Over the last few weeks, DNI Tulsi Gabbard has broken some big news about Obama, and that has not sat well with former Democrat officials.
Shockingly, Fox News published an op-ed from a former Biden official, basically trashing everything that Tulsi Gabbard has claimed.
Gabbard broke the news last week, and the political world has been set on fire ever since.
Gabbard stated, "There is irrefutable evidence that details how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false.
"They knew it would promote this contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true. It wasn't."
While the media is ignoring this story, at least for the most part, Obama’s office wanted to push back on the claims.
Obama generally stays quiet on what Trump says, simply not to give it any grip, but this allegation did not sit well with his camp. His spokesperson stated, "Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response.
"But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction."
Trump also commented on the allegations, stating, “After what they did to me — and whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people. Obama’s been caught directly.
“What they did in 2016 and 2020 is very criminal. It’s criminal at the highest level. So that’s really the things you should be talking about.”
Ned Price, who served in Biden’s administration, just wrote an op-ed on the allegations, more or less nullifying all of Gabbard’s claims, which, of course, Fox News was one of the few outlets that published it.
Price wrote, “Hers is an effort to re-write history, overturning established facts with conspiratorial fiction, while also directing focus away from the current scandal engulfing her administration and, in particular, her boss and political benefactor, President Trump.
“It’s a history that I know well as a CIA officer who was serving in a senior role on President Obama’s National Security Council at the time.”
I am all for free speech, but based on the reaction we got from Democrats when Republicans wrote op-eds, I would think that any claims made should be vetted beforehand, especially when your front page is littered with stories about the claims being made by Gabbard.
