Former Hunter Biden business partner reportedly in talks to testify about 'Bribes'

According to recent reports, a former business partner of Hunter Biden is in discussions with House Republicans to testify about potential "bribes" as they continue to investigate allegations of unlawful or improper activities involving the first son and his father, President Joe Biden.

Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, is in discussions to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Oversight Committee, as Breitbart News reported.

The subpoena seeks information on Archer's knowledge of an alleged $10 million "bribe" paid by the Biden family to Ukraine as well as other commercial dealings involving the Biden family.

According to a person familiar with the case who spoke to Breitbart News, the House Oversight Committee requested that Archer testify on Friday, but he is instead arranging a later deposition. The request was made on Monday.

Archer, a business colleague of the Biden family and Hunter's "best friend in business," got into legal difficulty in 2022 for defrauding a Native American tribal corporation and was sentenced to pay a judgment to the victims in the amount of $43,954,416.75 dollars. Archer was also accused of being Hunter's "best friend in business."

Archer sat on the board of directors of Burisma, an energy firm located in Ukraine, in 2014, prior to his arrest. Hunter Biden was also a member of that board.

In 2014, photographs were taken of Archer and Joe Biden, who was serving as Vice President at the time, playing golf together in Southhampton, New York.

After Archer was arrested in 2016, he tendered his resignation from Burisma's board of directors.

Archer spent decades by Hunter's side. They both attended Yale in the late 1990s. Archer became vice chairman of finance for John Kerry's unsuccessful 2004 presidential campaign, where he connected with his college classmate Chris Heinz, Kerry's stepson, and another Biden family business associate.

Archer was an integral part of the Biden family enterprise. Some of his greatest transactions involved Bohai Harvest, a Chinese state-owned enterprise.

Breitbart News previously reported that in December 2013, Hunter Biden assisted in founding a Chinese private equity fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR).

The American partners held their stakes in the business via a shell corporation named Rosemont Seneca Thornton. Later, Senate investigators disclosed that on February 14, 2014, Yelena Baturina, the billionaire ex-wife of Moscow's longtime mayor, transferred $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, raising concerns regarding Hunter Biden's probable relationship with the Russian oligarch.

In 2019, Hunter revealed to Archer that he was a Biden family member and that the price of power was being persecuted.

“Every great family is persecuted prosecuted in the US — you are part of a great family — not a side show not deserted by them even in your darkest moments,” he said. “That’s the way Bidens are different and you are a Biden. It’s the price of power.”
