Former 'Home Improvement' star arrested for felony domestic violence, according to report

“Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan was charged with felony domestic violence on Friday, in relation to an incident at his home by the Eugene Police Department, according to The Daily Caller.

“At around 6:00 p.m. on July 28, Eugene Police received report of a physical dispute between a male and adult female at a north Eugene residence," police said, according to People.

The dispute was reported to have occurred several hours prior and the suspect, identified as Zachery Ty Bryan, age 41, of Laguna Beach, California, had left the location.

“Eugene Police subsequently contacted Bryan in the area. Bryan was lodged at Lane County Jail on a charge of Assault in the Fourth Degree APA (Abuse Prevention Act).”

People reported that Bryan was still in prison on Monday morning. Bryan and model Johnnie Faye Cartwright are the parents of twins as of November 2021, when they became engaged.

According to People, it is currently unclear whether Cartwright was the alleged victim of an assault on Friday.

No injuries were reported, and there was no indication that the children were involved in the altercation. It is currently unclear whether Bryan posted surety in relation to this incident.

This is not the first time the renowned actor has encountered legal trouble. According to People, Bryan was previously arrested and charged with assault for allegedly suffocating a woman in 2020.

At the time, he pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts.

“He was sentenced to 36 months of bench probation, with conditions of probation including the program Bridges2Safety and no contact with the victim as well as the other standard conditions in a domestic violence sentencing,” Lane County District Attorney Patricia Perlow said in a statement at the time, according to People.

Fellow television star Bam Marger, star of “Jackass,” was arrested by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department on charges of domestic violence Thursday after a woman claimed he kicked her in his home, according to TMZ.

At 5:30 a.m., police reportedly responded to Margera's home in Escondido, California, for allegations of a domestic dispute. The woman reportedly referred to Margera as her "husband" when speaking to authorities about the incident.

The woman involved in the incident is not Margera's estranged wife, Nikki Boyd, according to sources. According to TMZ, the woman is believed to be his current companion.

According to TMZ, Margera was lodged into the Vista Detention Facility on a charge of corporal injury on a spouse, cohabitant, dating partner, or fellow parent. It is unknown whether or not the woman was injured during the altercation.

According to People, he was released shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday after posting $50,000 bond. Thursday, according to Lt. Ryan Wisniewski of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Margera is scheduled to appear in court.
