Anti-Trump Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff (CA) might need to write a massive check soon, as he could be on the hook for millions regarding the Russia collusion hoax investigation against former President Donald Trump.
According to Breitbart, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) recently introduced a resolution that could force Schiff to fork over $16 million in fines for his "egregious abuse of the trust of the American people" regarding the investigation that Special Counsel John Durham has completely debunked.
Schiff was one of the loudest and most prominent Democrats in the push to assert that Trump colluded with Russia prior to the 2016 presidential election.
Luna demands Schiff be on the hook for the enormous cost and resources it took to carry out the phony investigation, which was nothing more than a political witch hunt targeting Trump.
"Schiff lied to the American people. He used his position on House Intel to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives," the Florida Republican lawmaker tweeted.

Luna also released an official statement detailing why she believes Schiff should be on the hook for half of the cost of the investigation.
"It is the obligation of House Leadership to back up this motion for the American people and hold this feckless man accountable," she said in the statement.
She added: "This is a privileged resolution and it is the right thing for House Leadership to support and bring accountability and respect back to the House of Representatives. ALL Members of Congress must be held to this standard."

Breitbart reported last week that Durham exonerated Donald Trump on all claims of Russian collusion and confirmed that the FBI targeted and spied on the former president. Since 2017, Schiff has asserted the evidence tying President Trump to the Russian hoax was not circumstantial.
She also asserted that given Schiff's position at the time as the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), Schiff was provided access to sensitive information not available to most, and used it to push the fraudulent investigation for political gain, including fundraising.
This wasn't Luna's first attempt at punishing Schiff for his actions, as last week she introduced a separate resolution to have him expelled from Congress -- a resolution that was well-received by many.

Only time will tell if the resolution move forward, but regardless, it's a solid first step in holding some of these swampy, anti-Trump Democrats accountable for wasting America's time and money.
