FBI Director Wray agreed to show Biden document to Republican lawmakers after contempt threat

FBI Director Christopher Wray appears to be responding to a threat to hold him in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over a document requested by the Republican-controlled House.

A spokesman for House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Kentucky) confirmed to The Epoch Times that Wray has consented to deliver the relevant document to Capitol Hill for examination by lawmakers, as The Conservative Brief reported.

Whistleblowers who spoke to Comer's committee allege that the document contains evidence that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a pay-to-play bribery conspiracy involving a foreign individual seeking to exert influence.

CNN added that the document will be accessible to Ranking Member Jaimie Raskin (D-Maryland).

Claims have been made in an FD-1023 that President Joe Biden, while in office as vice president, participated in a bribery scheme to influence United States policy in favor of his family's enterprises.

An FBI informant brought the document to the attention of Congress and expressed concern that the allegations were never thoroughly investigated.

Comer and Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa demanded access to the document, prompting Comer to issue a subpoena.

Last week, during an interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News, Comer revealed that he was drafting legislation to hold Wray in contempt of Congress. He spoke about a conversation he had with Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) about their interaction with Wray and the FBI's refusal to comply with Comer's congressional subpoena.

According to a report published on Saturday, the source claiming to have evidence of Biden's alleged bribery scheme has been utilized frequently by the FBI since the Obama administration and is regarded "highly credible."

According to Fox News, the individual has claimed that the former vice president "was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national" and is a “FBI confidential human source…used by the bureau in multiple investigative matters dating back to” Barack Obama's two terms in office.

The news source also reported that Comer and Grassley were recently contacted by a whistleblower who claimed the FBI possessed an FD-1023 form dated June 30, 2020, which allegedly contains explicit information about Biden.

According to the source, the document details allegations that Biden was involved in a $5 million illicit bribery conspiracy during his tenure as vice president. According to Fox News, the conspiracy allegedly involved a foreign national and aimed to influence policy decisions.

A source with knowledge of the situation told Fox News Digital on Friday that the confidential human source who provided the information about Biden to the FBI is a "pre-existing" FBI source who has been utilized in numerous investigations unrelated to the Biden information.
