FBI Director Kash Patel exposes hidden Trump-Russia documents

FBI Director Kash Patel just blew the lid off a clandestine stash of documents buried deep within the bureau’s headquarters.

Fox News reported that Patel has uncovered thousands of sensitive files tied to the Trump-Russia probe, tucked away in so-called "burn bags" meant for destruction. This discovery raises sharp questions about what the FBI’s old guard was trying to hide.

Patel found these documents, including the classified annex to John Durham’s report, in a secret room at the FBI’s Hoover Building.

This trove, linked to the controversial Crossfire Hurricane investigation, was allegedly concealed by former FBI Director James Comey and others. It’s a bombshell that suggests a deliberate effort to obscure critical evidence.

“In 2017/18, I proved the Steele Dossier was fictitious intelligence,” Patel declared, pointing to his earlier work exposing flaws in the Trump-Russia narrative. His claim that corrupt officials weaponized fake intel to target Trump’s campaign still stings, especially when the same media now calls him a liar. Funny how history repeats when inconvenient truths surface.

Uncovering a Hidden Room

Patel first hinted at this discovery during a June interview with Joe Rogan, describing a locked room stuffed with documents and hard drives.

“Comey and others hid [it] from the world,” he told Rogan, painting a picture of a cover-up at the FBI’s core. The audacity of hiding such a cache in plain sight is almost cinematic.

The “burn bag” system, designed to destroy classified documents, was exploited to bury this evidence. Patel’s team stumbled upon the files while responding to a request from Senator Chuck Grassley, who’s been digging into Durham’s probe. It’s no coincidence that Grassley’s persistence seems to have forced this issue into the open.

Among the finds was the classified annex to Durham’s report, packed with underlying intelligence from the Trump-Russia saga. This document, now declassified, promises to shed light on the murky origins of the Crossfire Hurricane probe. The public deserves to know what was swept under the rug.

Patel isn’t working alone to bring these documents to light. CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and acting NSA Director William Hartman are coordinating the declassification effort. It’s a rare alignment of heavy hitters determined to expose the truth.

The declassified annex is headed to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley for public release.

Grassley’s team is already combing through the documents, continuing their scrutiny of the FBI’s actions post-2016. This could be a turning point in understanding the bureau’s past missteps.

“Now I’m the FBI Director: We just uncovered a burn bag/room filled with Russia Gate files,” Patel announced on X. His bold move to declassify these files directly challenges the narrative peddled by his critics. The irony of the FBI’s documents exposing its flaws isn’t lost on anyone.

Grassley’s Role in Transparency

Grassley’s investigative request sparked this latest document haul, building on his long-standing pursuit of answers about the Trump-Russia probe. His team is now reviewing the materials, which could reshape the public’s view of the FBI’s conduct. Persistence like this is what keeps government accountability alive.

Patel’s staff is also working to deliver additional records to Congress, responding to ongoing committee requests.

This steady flow of documents suggests more revelations may be on the horizon. The question is whether the media will cover them honestly or double down on their skepticism.

“Once again, I released the prior FBI’s documents and exposed the truth,” Patel said, taking a jab at his detractors. He’s daring the media to keep calling him a liar while promising more releases straight from FBI headquarters. It’s a calculated move to let the documents speak for themselves.

The media’s quick dismissal of Patel’s claims echoes their response to his earlier Steele Dossier revelations. “Maybe this FBI will release more docs directly… so we can see who is lying,” he quipped, mocking their “bogus Pulitzers.” It’s a sharp reminder that trust in legacy outlets is wobbling for a reason.

The Crossfire Hurricane probe, once a cornerstone of the Trump-Russia narrative, is now under fresh scrutiny thanks to these findings.

Patel’s discovery of hidden documents suggests a deeper rot within the FBI’s handling of sensitive investigations. The public’s right to know demands more than selective reporting.
