A so-called political expert claims that former First Lady Melania Trump has not joined former President Donald Trump in his recent primary victories because she wants to protect their son, Barron Trump. 

In other words, the expert is claiming that Barron Trump is a large reason why Melania Trump has not been involved in her husband's 2024 campaign.

The political "expert" is Grant Reeher. He made the claim in a recent interview that he did with The Mirror.

"The family was very involved in the past two campaigns for president, so I'd think they would be involved again. From a distance, it seems that Melania became less enthusiastic about this role as the controversies and the scandals mounted, so I don't know how involved she'll want to be this time around," Reeher said.

He added, "And she may be keen to guard Barron from becoming too exposed. Once you draw on your family, they become fair game for the media and opposition research."

Some context is needed here.

What Reeher was specifically commenting on is the fact that the former first lady was not present at Trump's recent victories at the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.

On a side note, many believe that Trump's victories in these two events in combination with his dominance in the polls already is enough to conclude that Trump will be the Republican Party's presidential nominee for the 2024 general election. Time will tell if this is indeed the case.

Many of Trump's immediate family members have been on hand during his recent victories in Iowa and New Hampshire, but Melania Trump has not been.

As usual, this has led to a lot of speculation, particularly from those individuals who always seem to be trying to drive a wedge between Trump and his wife.

There are various reasons why Melania Trump might not have been present at the primary victories.

There is a very good possibility, for example, that Melania Trump is still grieving the loss of her mother, Amalija Knavs, who just died on Jan. 9, and that this is why she was not present.

The truth of the matter, though, is that we do not really know why the former First Lady was not present at her husband's primary victories, because neither she nor her husband has commented on the situation.

Until one of them does, this is all just speculation - whether it is from a political "expert" or your next-door neighbor.
