Many people were outraged when the FBI raided former President Donald Trump's Mar-o-Lago residence. Son Eric Trump believes people need to see what really happened.
Eric Trump said his father has video surveillance footage of the raid and is planning to release it, the Conservative Brief reported. The younger Trump also noted that this injustice imposed on his father has increased his popularity.
In an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Eric Trump was asked about surveillance tape. "Will you — are you allowed to share that with the country?" Hannity asked him last month. the host said.
"Absolutely, Sean. At the right time," the former president's second eldest son replied. "That's why cops wear body cams. They don't tell you to turn off cameras," Eric Trump added, and later verified that officials had asked for the security cameras to be disabled.
"They want transparency. And that's not what happened here," he added.
Eric Trump went on to say that the American people are so outraged about this injustice perpetrated by the government that his father's poll numbers have "absolutely gone through the roof" while strangers offer to buy Eric Trump and his wife a conciliatory meal. "I mean, you wouldn't believe the energy out there," he said.
"I've been through all these firestorms over the years. I've never seen America more mad than it is right now," Eric Trump added. "People are not buying the sham in the country," he said.
"They're targeting Donald Trump. They're targeting his family. They're targeting everyone around him," the former president's son said.
For his part, the former president acknowledged that Americans "are so angry at what is taking place" but offered caution. "Whatever we can do to help — because the temperature has to be brought down in the country. If it isn't, terrible things are going to happen," Donald Trump warned.
It was outrageous that the former president was treated this way. Perhaps the surveillance footage from inside his home will shed light on what really happened -- or make people angrier.
