Epstein confidant recommended blackmailing Trump

Democrats wanted to create a buzz by releasing some of the Epstein files, and create a buzz they did. They have been blasting very select Epstein emails all over social media, most of which were already released, but they chose to redact them to make them look more damning.

One group of emails, however, appears to show why author Michael Wolff has an ax to grind with Trump.

Clashing with Melania

I am going to go out on a limb and say that, considering what Epstein was involved in, most of what came out of his mouth was a complete and utter lie, but that is what Michael Wolff based a lot of what he said about Melania Trump on.

For instance, he had been on podcasts telling stories that the first time Trump and Melania had sex was on Epstein’s plane. He had also credited Epstein with introducing the couple.

His accounts resulted in Melania threatening to sue him for $1 billion.

These were the same stories that were used by several other media personalities and publications, as well as Hunter Biden.

All of them were threatened with lawsuits, but they all apologized and retracted the story, except for Hunter Biden.

I will sue you

After Melania threatened her suit, Wolff came back at her with a suit of his own.

His filing stated, "Mrs. Trump's claims are made for the sole purpose of harassing, intimidating, punishing or otherwise maliciously inhibiting Mr. Wolff's free exercise of speech.”

I doubt he really knows the truth, however, because during an interview about the lawsuit, he stated, “To be perfectly honest, I’d like nothing better than to get Donald Trump and Melania Trump under oath in front of a court reporter and actually find out all of the details of their relationship with Epstein."

Hold it over his head

This brings us to the emails that were exchanged between Wolff and Epstein, with Wolff appearing to have advised Epstein to blackmail Trump over his ties to Trump. For instance, in one email, he wrote, “I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you -- either on air or in scrum afterwards.”

He then added, “I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.”

He also suggested that Epstein could use whatever information he had on Trump to take him out of the election, writing, “There’s an opportunity to come forward this week and talk about Trump in such a way that could garner you great sympathy and help finish him. Interested?”

It sounds like a scam to me, nothing more. I am definitely giving Trump the benefit of the doubt here based on what I know about Epstein. I also happen to believe that if there was truly anything to this, it would have come out a long time ago. So, until I see actual proof, I am not buying Wolff’s version.
