Donald Trump reveals Barron Trump's actual height

Former President Donald Trump's family, especially his older children, are often the subject of news headlines for varying reasons.

But his youngest son, Barron Trump, often makes the headlines for his extraordinary height.

Many in the media have speculated on how tall Barron actually is, with many guessing that he stands 6'7" tall. However, in the wake of the passing of his grandmother -- Melania Trump's mother -- Donald Trump confirmed how tall is son really is.

He actually stands an astonishing 6'8".

Trump has made several positive remarks about his youngest son, with some of them said at recent political campaign rallies.

The former president spoke highly of his mother-in-law at an Iowa campaign rally last month, and heaped praise on her for how she impacted Barron's life, including the delicious food she served, which Donald Trump credits for Barron's height.

“I want to thank her incredible, beautiful mother who passed away a few days ago,” Trump said in January. “And she’s up there, way up there. She’s looking down and she’s so proud of us."

“And I just want to say to Amalija, you are special, one of the most special people I’ve ever known," he added.

The former president lightened the mood by talking about his mother-in-law's cooking and how it affected Barron.

“Great people, great parents to all of us, really. Great parents, but also to Barron. Boy, did she take care of Barron,” Donald Trump said at the time. “That’s how he got so tall, he only ate her food.”

As any taller person can relate, Barron is often asked if he plays basketball. His father told a campaign rally crowd that he suggested the same, but that Barron's interest in sports is centered on soccer.

“I said you’re gonna be a basketball player. He said, ‘Well, I like soccer, Dad, actually.’ I thought… at your height, I like basketball better, but you can’t talk them into everything,” Trump added, saying that his son was a "special boy."

Barron will reportedly enroll in college this fall, though it's still unclear where he will attend. Many of Trump's supporters hope to see Barron follow in his father's footsteps on the political front.

Only time will tell what Barron does with his life, but it's clear that his parents love him very much and are undoubtedly fully supportive of whatever he chooses to do down the road.
