Alan Dershowitz on board with lawsuit against Rosie O’Donnell for false Trump-Epstein allegations

Rosie O’Donnell’s wild claim that President Donald Trump paid Jeffrey Epstein $1 billion has sparked a fierce response from attorney Alan Dershowitz.

The Daily Caller reported that during an appearance on “The Jim Acosta Show,” O’Donnell tossed out the baseless accusation, which Snopes quickly debunked as false. Dershowitz, never one to shy away from a legal brawl, is ready to take her to task.

O’Donnell’s allegation, aired on Friday, falsely tied Trump to a massive payment to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Snopes, citing Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden’s team, found no trace of Trump in over 4,000 transactions linked to Epstein’s accounts. Her claim is a swing and a miss, yet it’s stirred a hornet’s nest.

Dershowitz, appearing on Newsmax’s “Sunday Agenda,” didn’t mince words, calling O’Donnell a “despicable liar.” “There was malice there,” he said, signaling his readiness to assist in a defamation lawsuit. His disdain for her tactics is palpable, and he’s offering his legal expertise pro bono.

Dershowitz Calls Out Malice

O’Donnell’s claim wasn’t just wrong—it was malicious, Dershowitz argued. He insists she’s driven by a deep-seated hatred for Trump, fabricating stories to smear him. The First Amendment, he noted, isn’t a shield for such reckless falsehoods.

“She just is lying through her teeth because she hates Donald Trump,” Dershowitz said. He has reviewed the records as Epstein’s former lawyer and found nothing implicating Trump. O’Donnell’s narrative, he suggests, is pure fiction fueled by personal animus.

O’Donnell doubled down, claiming Trump sent a suggestive letter to Epstein in 2003 for his 50th birthday.

The Wall Street Journal reported this, but Trump has fiercely disputed it, suing the outlet and its parent companies. Her “guilty as sin” jab at Trump only deepens the legal quagmire.

Trump’s relationship with Epstein, as The Washington Post noted, existed but lacks evidence of wrongdoing.

O’Donnell’s accusations, however, paint a far darker picture without proof. Her rhetoric seems less about truth and more about settling scores.

“Everything she’s worth,” Dershowitz declared when asked how much he’d sue O’Donnell for, estimating damages in the hundreds of millions. He believes Trump’s reputation demands a robust defense. O’Donnell’s wealth, whatever it may be, is fair game in his eyes.

O’Donnell’s move out of the United States adds a twist to the saga. Dershowitz quipped, “She hates America,” suggesting her departure reflects disdain for the nation’s values. Yet, he insists, she’s not above the law’s reach.

Legal Accountability Looms

“Rosie O’Donnell is not above the law and the president is not below the law,” Dershowitz asserted. He sees a clear case for defamation, with malice as the linchpin. O’Donnell’s reckless claims, he argues, cross a legal line.

Trump, no stranger to defamation battles, recently secured a $15 million settlement from ABC News over false claims by host George Stephanopoulos. That victory sets a precedent, showing Trump’s willingness to fight back. O’Donnell’s remarks could be next in his legal crosshairs.

Dershowitz’s offer to help sue O’Donnell pro bono underscores his commitment. “I hope she is sued,” he said, volunteering to aid anyone pursuing justice for Trump. His zeal suggests a courtroom showdown is on the horizon.

O’Donnell’s “serial pedophile rapist” label for Trump is an inflammatory charge with no substantiation. Snopes and other outlets have found no evidence linking Trump to Epstein’s crimes. Her words seem crafted for shock, not truth.

Trump fired back on Truth Social, calling O’Donnell “not a Great American” and “incapable” of being one. He even floated revoking her citizenship, a provocative stance that underscores his frustration. The legal and rhetorical volleys are escalating fast.
