Anyone with eyes and even a remote sense of awareness can understand why it's difficult to believe that President Joe Biden has what it takes, both mentally and physically, to follow through with another presidential run.
Not only his critics and political opponents have raised those questions, but many from his own party are growing concerned about his chances.
It's easy to see why they're concerned, as the already frequently confused and physically unstable president will be 82 at the end of his current term.
One can only imagine the rapid, age-related decline he'll experience in the coming years.
Douglas MacKinnon recently penned an op-ed for The Hill titled, "When is the optimal time for Biden to drop out of the race?"
MacKinnon revealed that he's heard form "a number of Democrats — including staunch supporters of the president," that they're getting "nervous" about Biden's 2024 chances and abilities.
He noted that he believes Biden should drop out "immediately."
"As stated in this space in the past, I don’t believe Biden will be the Democratic nominee in 2024. Now, while the president, his White House and his allies may predictably denounce such speculation as ridiculous or wishful thinking, what if I and others turn out to be correct?" MacKinnon wrote.
The elderly president, who sounds and looks significantly different than he did even three years ago, is prone to what seems like a never-ending string of gaffes and ridiculous statements.
Joseph Curl from The Daily Wire wrote:
Biden’s 80 years old. His proclivity for gaffes (and falling down — or sometimes up, like when he stumbled ascending the stairs of Air Force One) is legendary. The list grows almost daily (on Monday he looked wobbly when meeting King Charles at Buckingham Palace, grabbing his arm for support). Biden rarely holds press conferences, and when he does, it appears as if he has the questions from the press in advance.
Numerous polls also spell potential doom for Biden's 2024 campaign ambitions, with many firmly holding the belief that he simply doesn't have what it takes to be a confident and capable leader.
NBC POLL: Biden's approval rating "sits at just 43%."

Making matters worse for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is the fact that Vice President Kamala Harris polls as badly or worse than the president, leaving the party struggling to field a worthy candidate for a strong Republican opponent.
Only time will tell if the DNC figures out how to put Biden out to political pasture.
