Democrat Canvasser Arrested In Pennsylvania For Registering Dead Voters

Jennifer Hill, a former canvasser, has been charged with multiple crimes tied to fraudulent voter registration in Pennsylvania.

NBC Philadelphia reported that authorities in Pennsylvania have apprehended a woman for attempting to register deceased individuals to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Hill, 38, of Collingdale, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody on December 19, 2024. Hill faces charges including forgery and tampering with public records, along with other related accusations.

She had been employed by the New Pennsylvania Project, an organization dedicated to voter registration and civic education in the state. From April to September 2024, Hill utilized a state-provided app to submit 310 voter registration applications.

Out of these, 181 individuals were successfully registered, while 129 applications were rejected. Some of Hill's attempts involved registering deceased persons using different variations of the same name.

Delaware County Unveils Details of the Voter Fraud Investigation

Delaware County's District Attorney, Jack Stollsteimer, revealed that at least one fraudulent registration was completed by exploiting a system loophole. However, this individual did not participate in voting.

The broader investigation now focuses on all names Hill attempted to register. This includes a thorough examination of the New Pennsylvania Project's entire submission list.

Stollsteimer has called attention to systemic issues in voter registration and is urging the state legislature to conduct a comprehensive review and take corrective action.

Additional scrutiny has also been placed on Philip Moss, 84, who was charged with election fraud for voting in two states during the same election cycle.

Stollsteimer emphasized, "One of the principles of our democracy is one person, one vote," highlighting the critical nature of maintaining election integrity.

Stollsteimer further explained how the fraudulent registrations were facilitated, noting, "She did register a fraudulent person and my understanding is this is sort of a gap in the system where by putting in no date of birth and no social security number, it goes through and became a verified voter registration."

Kadia Kenner, CEO of the New Pennsylvania Project, responded to the allegations by clarifying that the organization does not incentivize voter registration with bonuses or quotas. Hourly wages for canvassers remain consistent regardless of the number of applications collected.

Upon discovering the potential issues, the organization suspended Hill and initiated an internal investigation. They also paused voter registration activities in several areas pending investigation results.

Kenner stated, "Today’s announcement is proof that the multiple layers of internal and external quality control operate with integrity at both the New PA Project Education Fund, the Department of State, and local law enforcement."

Call for Legislative Action and System Review

Stollsteimer's comments have spurred calls for a legislative review of Pennsylvania's voter registration laws. "I think our legislature needs to look at the law again and see if there are gaps that need to be filled," he advised.

Stollsteimer also advocated for a comprehensive review of all registrations submitted by Hill to ensure their legitimacy, asserting the need for immediate action to prevent further misuse of the registration system.

The ongoing investigation aims to provide a clearer picture of the scale of the alleged fraud and to ensure the integrity of future elections in Pennsylvania.
