Earlier this week, newly-elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy stunned Capitol Hill by announcing he'd allowed Fox News Channel's Tucker Carlson access to the mysterious, suppressed-by-Dems 41,000 hours of additional surveillance footage from the Jan. 6 incursion.
According to The Daily Wire, Democrats consider the move on McCarthy's part a "breach," and seem to be taking some level of urgent action to "discuss" the so-called "breach."
Many believe the move is simply to provide cover for any shady reasons that Democrats might have protected the 41,000 hours from being released in the first place.
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) spearheaded the efforts to bring together his fellow Dem lawmakers.
Republican lawmakers were quick to tout the moment as a massive victory for the party, in that they came through on a promise to get the footage to the public, which hopefully will soon be.
"For all of you that doubted we would release the tapes. Here you go! I’m very happy to be right again in my support for Kevin McCarthy as our Speaker. Americans deserve to see the truth, not a one sided narrative and unfair two tiered justice system," Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) tweeted.

The Daily Wire noted:
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) sent a letter to Democratic colleagues on Tuesday saying his team is “working to confirm the precise nature of the video transfer,” which he called a “reported breach” that poses potential national security risks.
CNN's Alayna Treene previewed Jeffries' letter in a tweet.
"Hakeem Jeffries writes in a Dear Colleague to Dems: 'The apparent transfer of video footage represents an egregious security breach that endangers the hardworking women and men of the United States Capitol Police, who valiantly defended our democracy with their lives at risk,'" Treene wrote.

Carlson, undoubtedly, will take full advantage of what he called "unfettered" access to the surveillance tapes.
He reported that some of his best people are on the job, determining if there's anything else to the two-year-long-suppressed videotapes of Jan. 6, 2021.
"Some of our smartest producers have been there looking at this stuff, trying to figure out what it means and how it contradicts, or not, the story that we’ve been told for more than two years,” Carlson said. “We think already that in some ways it does contradict that story," Carlson said during his show this week.
