Country star Zach Bryan arrested in Oklahoma for 'obstruction of an investigation'

The country music world was shocked to learn that one of its rising up-and-comers was arrested recently in rural Oklahoma.

According to Fox News, country music star Zach Bryan was arrested for "obstruction of an investigation" and ultimately booked into the Craig County Jail in Vinita, Oklahoma.

The incident reportedly wasn't his finest moment, according to his own words. He tweeted an apology post to his fans and to the police officers who arrested him, noting that he was "frustrated in the moment," adding that he's a huge supporter of law enforcement.

"Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said. I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around," Bryan wrote.

He added, "Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers."

The country star's mugshot was circulated across social media.

In a late-breaking report, The Tennessean revealed additional details as to what led to the country star's arrest, which involved a traffic incident with one of his security guards.

The outlet noted:

The report said Bryan pulled up next to his security guard, who was the subject of a traffic stop by a state trooper, and asked the patrolman was was taking so long.

The trooper asked Bryan to get back into his pickup truck and move along or he'd take him to jail for interferring with the traffic stop.

Bryan's response to the state trooper was, "I'll go to jail, let's do it."

The country star apparently sealed his fate, at least for that night, by making disparaging remarks about law enforcement officers. At one point he reportedly called them "middle aged white dudes arresting people."

Notably, Bryan had been pulled over the day before for speeding, and after refusing to give his address to the police officer, was placed in cuffs before he finally gave in and provided the address.

"It frustrated me a lot because I didn't know if I had a right to refuse him my address or not," Bryan said of the previous day's run-in with law enforcement.
