Democrats have always played the illegal immigration card, somehow thinking it would get the Latino population in this country behind them.
The complete opposite has happened, and it has baffled a CNN analyst in terms of how many immigrants support what Trump is doing.
Trump never hid his agenda on this front, and it is one that I fully support.
If you entered this country illegally, regardless of how long ago you did it, it is a crime, and you should be held accountable.
When Trump was on the campaign trail and after taking office, he vowed to remove all illegal immigrants, starting with the violent criminals and moving forward from there.
When Trump announced his plan, I had stated that I would be surprised if he was able to remove two million by the time his term ended due to laws and due process, but I fully support his aspect of his agenda.
The word insurrection has been tossed around quite liberally since January 6, 2021, and now the GOP is having its turn using it.
For instance, in calling out Governor Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass, Rep. Darrel Issa threw their own words back at them, stating, "These are the same people that tell us, you know, Biden was fine, he was on the top of his game.
"So their credibility goes with what you see versus what they say. I can't think of a better example of why you shouldn't believe or vote for people in that party as long as they're willing to literally lie to your face on what you're seeing with your own eyes."
He later added, "We heard the word ‘insurrection’ for a couple of years nonstop, and now in Los Angeles, when people are directly assaulting property and law enforcement, that's the very definition of insurrection; and particularly when they're doing it on behalf of people who are sitting in jails because they were arrested for crimes, not just for entering the country illegally but for actual felonies.”
With all the protests against ICE, one would think the entire immigrant community would be against Trump right now, but that is hardly the case, as CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten found out.
Enten broke down a recent survey, stating, “Immigrant citizens, immigrant voters and foreign-born voters have gone tremendously to the right on this issue in 2024 and 2025 versus where they were in 2020.
“If you go back to 2020, Democrats get this, they held a 32-point lead on this issue. Immigrant voters were in the Democratic camp. Jump forward to 2024 and 2025, look at that shift! A 40-point shift toward the right among immigrant voters. Republicans now lead on this issue by eight points over Democrats, more so than any other group that I could find. The group of voters who became more hawkish on immigration were in fact immigrants themselves, immigrants who are registered to vote in this country.”
You know why? Because they did it the right way and are upset people are jumping the line and coming into this country illegally. They followed the rules, so why would anyone expect them to support people who don’t? The only person surprised by this, Mr. Enten, is you and the liberal horde.
