China ramped up its threats toward Taiwan, the country many experts believe will soon be overtaken by the communist nation as it attempts to fully reclaim the island.
According to Fox News, in a recent show of extreme military force, China reportedly dispatched 71 warplanes and seven warships to the vicinity of the island, Taiwan’s Defense Ministry reported.
Every time the U.S. shows support for Taiwan, China gets their panties in a twist and flexes their military muscle. Like a child's temper tantrum. https://t.co/VNIlvQubyx via @nypost

Fox News noted: "Between 6 a.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, 47 of the Chinese planes crossed the median of the Taiwan Strait, an unofficial boundary once tacitly accepted by both sides, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense."
While it's not the first time the Communist Party’s People’s Liberation Army has dispatched warplanes and ships to harass Taiwan or at the very least, show force, it is one of the larger actions as of late.
As far as the types of planes that the Chinese military dispatched to Taiwan, the group included, "18 J-16 fighter jets, 11 J-1 fighters, 6 Su-30 fighters and drones."
"This is a firm response to the current U.S.-Taiwan escalation and provocation," said Shi Yi, the spokesman for the PLA’s Eastern Theater Command, in a statement on Sunday night, according to Fox News.
That was reportedly a reference to the recently passed year-end omnibus spending bill, which reportedly described communist China's movements around Taiwan as a "strategic challenge."
Communist China sent over 70 warplanes to intimidate Taiwan on Monday.
The U.S. must always support the freedom-loving people of Taiwan.

"The United States has an abiding interest in peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. We will continue to assist Taiwan in maintaining a sufficient self-defense capability in line with our long-standing commitments and consistent with our one-China policy," one anonymous U.S. official told Fox News.
The anonymous source described the Chinese military's actions around Taiwan as "destabilizing, risks miscalculations, and undermines regional peace and stability."
"We don't have the ability to defend Taiwan on our own," says KT McFarland. As China is experiencing domestic instability, she asks "how much is the president of China going to use this opportunity to create a crisis abroad?"https://t.co/yFPwsXzIpc@realKTMcFarland@SchmittNYC pic.twitter.com/8EbjJsYbvA

The last major provocation came after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) visited the island, which China takes as a threat that other countries recognize Taiwan as an independent state.
The Biden administration has been quiet on the developing tensions.
