Calls for Kennedy resignation grow louder

I am not sure how much longer Donald Trump will be able to call off the dogs.

Democrats were already furious when RFK Jr. was appointed to head the Department of Health and Human Services, but now it is getting very hot.

After mass walkouts, vaccine protocol changes, and the head of the CDC being terminated, Dems want him gone.

Changing the Rules

Reports broke last week that the guidelines for COVID-19 vaccines were going to be changed.

Now, if I read the new rules properly, only those who are at-risk would be considered for vaccines, which drew outrage from the left.

Kennedy tried to quell this, posting, “FDA has now issued marketing authorization for those at higher risk: Moderna (6+ months), Pfizer (5+), and Novavax (12+)."

He added, “These vaccines are available for all patients who choose them after consulting with their doctors.”

Mass Walkouts

After the firing of Dr. Susan Monarez was announced, it was revealed that several other staffers were leaving in protest.

Among the large group announcing their resignations was Demetre C. Daskalakis, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.

He wrote, “For decades, I have been a trusted voice for the LGBTQ community when it comes to critical health topics. I must also cite the recklessness of the administration in their efforts to erase transgender populations, cease critical domestic and international HIV programming, and terminate key research to support equity as part of my decision.”

Now, this is a man who refused to accept the fact that only women can get pregnant, referring to them as “pregnant people,” so I am not sure he was the best person for the job anyway.

Time to Go

The latest to call for Kennedy to be removed is Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

He wrote, "Despite the overwhelming opposition of the medical community, Secretary Kennedy has continued his longstanding crusade against vaccines and his advocacy of conspiracy theories that have been rejected repeatedly by scientific experts.

"It is absurd to have to say this in 2025, but vaccines are safe and effective. That, of course, is not just my view. Far more important, it is the overwhelming consensus of the medical and scientific communities."

Whether we agree with Kennedy or not, at this point, he is a liability for Trump. Kennedy has made some great points about ingredients in our food, especially food coloring, but he has pitched some pretty wild theories in other areas. Honestly, I am not sure how much longer Trump can keep him on board, but I would love to hear from you guys on this. Should Kennedy stay or go?
